Running through Bosnia and Herzegovina are the Dinaric Alps, which offer fantastic skiing opportunities across the country. Just a short drive from the capital city of Sarajevo you can find several mountains where you can ski, snowboard or simply enjoy the spectacular winter scenery.
Jahorina Ski Resort
With a high quality of ski trails and good snow, Jahorina is one of the most popular places to ski in Sarajevo. The ski resort offers affordable accommodation and restaurants and is an ideal place to ski, whatever your level of experience.
Bjelasnica Ski Resort
With a highest point of 2067m, Bjelasnica offers fantastic downhill skiing. A great ski resort for snowboarders and more experienced skiers, but beginners will have lots of fun here as well. Accommodation is available at the base of the mountain and a choice of places to eat.
Igman Ski Resort
A much smaller resort popular with locals and with alpine (Nordic) skiing and winter walking trails available. There’s baby slopes for learners and a trail for advanced skiers.
